4th Annual Brian Dugan Memorial Scholarship Road Race is Friday, May 29
The race will take place at Lincoln Arena, located at 1200 Parker Blvd. in the Town of Tonawanda. It will consist of a children’s 100-meter fun run at 5:45 p.m., a 5K run beginning at 6:30 p.m., and a one-mile walk beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Admission into the race is $10 for elementary, middle and high school students, $25 for pre-registered adults, and $35 for adults on the day of the race. The children’s 100-meter fun run is free for children in the immediate family of an adult who is signed up for the race and participants in the fun run will receive a ribbon. In addition, designer long-sleeve T-shirts will be given to the first 500 participants in the race.
The after-race party will include the Lloyd’s Tacos and Sweet Melody’s food trucks, a basket raffle, live music, pizza, fruit, pop, and dessert foods, as well as free face painting, temporary tattoos and crafts.
All proceeds will stay in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda community, funding scholarships for Kenmore West High School students. Volunteers, donations for the scholarship fund, and baskets and items for the basket auction are welcome.
